Who knew of Lake Tahoe?

So to be completely honest I never had a deep desire to visit Lake Tahoe. I just thought it would be some random lake just like all the others and lots of spots to swim. But let me tell you, BOY WAS I WRONG! How could I have totally missed this.

Now growing up in the Pacific Northwest, we see lakes all the time. But Lake Tahoe was defiantly a destination point I want to see again!

First of all, there are two ways to get there. Through California or through Nevada. (yes, the lake is that cool!) We went through California and if you ever wanted a summer drive suggestion it would be this one! You almost have to go over the hill and through the woods just to get to grandmas house!

You drive and drive for miles down steep hills to get to the valley where the lake is. Pretty much a drive through paradise.

Then you reach the lake.

Literally, I am not joking when I say the water was so blue and so clear.

There were so many activities you could do there. We didnt have all day to spend, but literally you could spend a whole weekend there. They had camping, hiking, biking, all kinds of boat activities, swimming, and so much more.

This would be such a perfect destination for a family vacation because there really is something to do for the whole family.

This is defiantly a spot I will need to come back to again and plan to spend the whole weekend.
