Why you should go to the Washington Side of Mt St Helens

But there are many different reasons why Mt St Helens is a great place to visit with your family during the summer. Between the gorgeous view, the many trials to hike on, the super fun picnic areas and so much more. You basically walk down a time capsule of the wonderful life of mother nature.

But here are my two most favorite places to go:

| Castle Lake Ridge |

The first day we were there it was super rainy, wet, and cloudy so it was hard to see the mountain. However I felt it was a great day for pictures! But the second day was a lot more sunny and a great day to get out and do some hiking.

| Cold Water Lake |

There is a lot of beautiful places in the earth, but Cold Water Lake has got to be on of my most favorite. Wether rain or shine it is such a beautiful place. There is a boat doc you can go out on to the lake. Or great fishing places to enjoy. And my most favorite is this beautiful board walk that actually goes out onto the lake. It is so beautiful!
